Welcome to The Mythic ("we," "our," or "us"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our website located at themythic.org (the "Site") and any related services provided by The Mythic.

By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of these Terms, you may not access the Site.

1. Description of Service

The Mythic is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing a venue for independent cinema and enriching the cultural landscape through film. Our website provides information about our mission, upcoming screenings, events, and opportunities to support our work.

2. Use of the Site

You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not infringe the rights of, restrict, or inhibit anyone else's use and enjoyment of the Site. Prohibited behavior includes harassing or causing distress or inconvenience to any other user, transmitting obscene or offensive content, or disrupting the normal flow of dialogue within our Site.

3. Donations and Payments

We accept donations to support our mission. All donations are processed through our third-party payment processor, Zeffy. By making a donation, you agree to Zeffy's terms of service and privacy policy. We do not store your credit card or banking information on our servers.

  • Refunds: Donations are generally non-refundable. If you have made an error in your donation, please contact us immediately at admin@themythic.org.
  • Ticketing & Memberships: While not currently available, future ticketing and membership purchases will be subject to these Terms and any additional terms provided at the time of purchase.

4. Intellectal Property

The Site and its original content, features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of The Mythic and its licensors. The Site is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws of both the United States and foreign countries. Our trademarks and trade dress may not be used in connection with any product or service without the prior written consent of The Mythic.

5. Third-Party Links

Our Site may contain links to third-party kinds of websites or services that are not owned or controlled by The Mythic. The Mythic has no control over, and assumes no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party websites or services. You further acknowledge and agree that The Mythic shall not be responsible or liable, directly or indirectly, for any damage or loss caused or alleged to be caused by or in connection with the use of or reliance on any such content, goods, or services available on or through any such websites or services.

6. Age Restrictions

Our Site is intended for a general audience. However, specific events or screenings promoted on the Site may have age restrictions based on the content being shown (e.g., R-rated films). It is your responsibility to ensure you meet the age requirements for any specific event you attend.

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will try to provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion.
